Is it correct that Thirumantram states that Jeevatama is subservient to Paramatma? Is this understanding appropriate from the viewpoint of Desika Sampradaya?

Thirumantram has more than 108 meanings as per our Acharyas. The prime meaning being Jeevatma is subservient to Paramatma, and Desika Sampradyam also states the same.
