When the men folk at home are physically indisposed, can the women of the household perform Tiruvaradhanam for Acharya Paduka and Salagrama deities?

Women can mentally perform Tiruvaradhanam for Acharya Paduka and Salagrama murthi-s. It is not a practice to touch them with their hands to perform Tiruvaradhanam.
