On 14-8-25, Revati Nakshatram exists till 11.30. Those who are born under Revati will celebrate. On 15-8-25, Ashvini Nakshatram is until 10 AM. On 16-8-25, Bharani exists till 8.20. On 17-8-25, Karthikai is till 6.43. To celebrate his birthday, Karthikai must exist for 12 nazhigai-s (Till 11 AM). Given this, on which date must those born under Ashvini celebrate? In the Month of Avani, since Karthikai occurs on two days, it must be celebrated during the second occurrence, isn’t it?

From sunrise, if a given nakshatram exists for 12 nazhigai-s, those born under that nakshatram must celebrate their birthday on that day. If it does not exist for 12-nazhigai-s, the birthday is celebrated the previous day. If a nakshatram occurs twice during a month, on the second occurrence, if there is no association with Sankramanam, it must be celebrated then; if there is a taint on the second occurrence, the birthday is celebrated during the first occurrence of the nakshatram.
