I wish to know about Iyal Saatrumurai (recitation order). The Vadakalai Iyal Saatrumurai on prapatti.com is very different from the Thenkalai method (compiled by Manavala Mamunigal). Who compiled the Vadakalai method? Who composed each of the verses (pasurams) in it, and which Acharya is it about?

The Vadakalai Iyal Saatrumurai system came into being after Sri Desikan, during the time of his son Kumaravaradachariar, when the Sri Desika Prabandha Vyavasthai (arrangement of Desika’s works) was established. It was then that he compiled the Iyal Saatrumurai. Understand that this came before the time of Manavala Mamunigal. Hence, this is the more ancient (prachinamanadhu) version.
